Privacy Policy

Netyvo (currently listed on Google Play as DNS Switcher - Network Tools) is a DNS and network-diagnostics tool for Android and Android TV. The app uses Android’s local VPN service only to handle DNS according to the configuration chosen by the user. It is not a location-hiding VPN service and does not tunnel all traffic through a remote server owned by the app publisher.

• The app does not include ads.
• The app does not sell user data.
• Premium Lifetime and Google Play modules are handled by Google Play Billing / Play dynamic features.
• Cloud Backup Beta remains a roadmap feature. Until real sync is launched, this feature does not upload data to the cloud.

2. Classic DNS and local VPN

In classic mode the app intercepts DNS locally and forwards requests to the resolver selected by the user. DNS queries therefore go to the external DNS provider chosen by the user, and that provider’s own privacy policy applies.

3. Own DNS

Own DNS is a separate experimental Premium mode. It acts as an on-device DNS firewall: first it checks local rules, filter lists and custom hosts/redirects, then it forwards allowed requests to the configured DoH/DoT upstream. Custom HTTPS sources, domain lists and rules are stored locally unless the user explicitly imports or shares them.

4. Own DNS domain logs and statistics

Full Own DNS domain logging is disabled by default. If the user enables it, the app may store blocked/allowed domain names locally for up to 7 days. Nothing is sent automatically. The user can clear the log or export it manually as full JSON or as an anonymized summary. Top blocked-domain statistics can be enabled separately.

5. SSH/SFTP, Network Scanner and WOL

SSH profiles, host data, Known Hosts, Identity Vault, command history, SFTP bookmarks and transfer logs are stored locally unless the user explicitly exports them. Credentials and private keys are sensitive data; the app uses local encryption/Android Keystore protections where designed. SSH and SFTP connect directly to the server chosen by the user.

Network Scanner Pro actively communicates with devices on the local network to discover hosts, TCP/UDP ports and services. History, inventory and reports remain local until manually exported. Wake-on-LAN/WOL PRO sends a LAN magic packet to a device configured by the user.

5a. Remote Wake

When the user explicitly enables Remote Wake on Android TV, the app can host a local HTTP server on the trusted LAN while the related DNS/VPN service is running. The default port is 8766. Access to approved profiles and the Wake action requires a separate token, and the token is not placed in the URL. The feature does not require the app’s cloud and should not be forwarded by the router to the public Internet.

6. Walkie Beta QR

Walkie Beta QR is a Premium module for compatible Google Play phone/tablet builds. It uses Nearby Connections, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi and the required system permissions to establish local communication. Messages, push-to-talk audio and photos are transferred locally between participants; the app does not provide its own relay cloud for this feature.

7. Import, export and local transfer

Export of settings, rules or logs happens only when the user requests it. Import from file, URL, QR or code is one-shot. Local phone-to-TV transfer works inside the LAN with a code/PIN and does not require cloud sync.

8. Payments and Google Play data

Premium Lifetime purchases are processed by Google Play. The app does not receive full payment-card details. It may receive only technical purchase/module availability state so it can unlock the related features.
